EDUCATION

University of Bristol

University of Bristol

Sep 2021 – Jul 2024

  • BSc Computer Science (2:1)

WORK EXPERIENCE

Software Engineer (Data)

Aug 2024 – Present

  • Architected Python ETL pipelines and SQL dimensional models across millions of rows of operational data, enabling automated cost analysis for business reporting.
  • Built pipelines on a lakehouse architecture (Apache Iceberg on ADLS Gen2, Trino) and implemented Dagster orchestration with asset-based lineage and observability across downstream pipelines.
  • Set up CI/CD using Azure Pipelines to automate data quality and ETL logic testing on pull requests, enabling continuous deployment of pipeline changes.

Graduate Teacher Level 2

Sept 2023 – June 2024

  • Mentored a cross-functional team of 5 on the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), advocating for Agile, Kanban, and iterative delivery to meet aggressive project milestones.
  • Mediated architectural decisions, guiding students through technical trade-off analyses to select tech stacks optimised for project constraints.
  • Led code reviews with emphasis on decoupled logic and SOLID principles to ensure high maintainability.

Research Placement

July 2020 – Sept 2020

  • Developed a Python-based stochastic simulation using the Mesa framework to model COVID-19 transmission via agent-based modelling (ABM).
  • Built parametric scenarios to quantify the impact of non-pharmaceutical interventions, such as social distancing and mask mandates, on reducing the spread of infection.
  • Delivered a live technical presentation of complex simulation data to 500+ concurrent viewers.
